  • 1. What are your rates for lessons?

  • 2. What is your payment policy and what methods of payment do you accept?

    We will bill you at the end of each month for lessons received. We accept all major credit cards but not checks or money orders. This is because we pay our teachers immediately. We also support a paper free environment.

  • 3. How do I schedule a lesson?

    Please complete the form on the contact us page and submit. We’ll respond within 24 hours. You can also give us a call at (301) 655-4460.

  • 4. How can I cancel a lesson?

    You can cancel a lesson by contacting your teacher. We ask that you give your teacher at least 24 hours advanced notice. We regret that we must charge for lessons cancelled without at least 24 hours notice.

  • 5. How about rescheduling a lesson?

    Given proper notice, the teacher will do his or her best to accommodate your needs. If no acceptable reschedule date is available, there will be no charge for the missed lesson.

  • 6. Do I have to sign any contracts?

    We require that you adhere to the 24 hour cancellation policy. There must always be an adult in the home during private lessons. We have no long term commitments or prepayment requirements. Also, we have no hidden registration fees. Our registration page is secure and easy to use.

  • 7. How do you ensure the quality of your teachers?

    We carefully screen each and every teacher, and only work with those who meet our high standards. B&B Music World teachers reflect our core values: reliability, patience and a commitment to sharing the gift of music.

  • 8. Why should I use your service?

    Great teachers, recitals, student evaluations, the ‘B&B School of Rock’ and high customer service are a few of the reasons that people enjoy our service. We also have a wonderful web site dedicated to music education.

  • 9. Do you have recitals?

    Yes. We have two recitals a year, the first in January and the following one in June. Participation is optional.

  • 10. What instruments do you teach?

    We provide lessons for piano, guitar, drums, violin, viola, cello, flute, bass, saxophone, trumpet, trombone and more!

  • 11. Do you rent or sell instruments and other music supplies?

    We do not rent or sell merchandise directly but we are happy to refer you to our affiliates. Click (here) to visit our affiliates.

  • 12. What can I do as a parent to help prepare for the lesson?

    An important aspect of musical development is practicing consistently. It is also very helpful to have a designated area in the house for lessons and individual practice. Creating and maintaining a consistent practice space will translate into mental consistency as well. In addition, it is helpful for the student to prepare for each lesson with warm ups and a review of the previous lesson.

    Yes, we have a syllabus developed by Jim McFalls, a premier educator in the music industry. He currently serves as president of the IAJF

  • 16. What discounts do you have?

    We have discounts for consecutive lessons in the same household. Two consecutive lessons provides a 10% discount, and three consecutive lessons provides a 15% discount. Our group lessons also provide considerable savings.

  • 17.Can I observe my child’s lessons?

    Absolutely. It is a good idea to follow the progress of the lessons. It is also helpful to review the new lesson material with the teacher before he leaves.
